Character Habits

Make a list for each of your characters about their common and uncommon behaviour habits. Bring this into your story by showing it to your reader.

Ask yourself what habits will best suit your character. Why?

What will it do to your character?

Will your reader find him/her more interesting? (Example: if he is an outcast?)

Will your reader engage more with your character? (Example: if he is crippled?)

Will your reader hate or love your character more?

Will this habit take your story forward?

What will the outcome and purpose of it be?
